The two day
multi diagnostic camp for all resident and non-resident
Sidhpuris was held at the above location.
The camp
opening was presided over by Janab Ishaqbhaisaheb, Aamil
Saheb of Siddhpur. The following doctors were present at
the camp and offered their honorary services for the two
day camp.

The doctors
were felicitated by Janab Aamil Saheb and presented with
a memento and bouquet. This was followed by a short
speech by Janab Aamil Saheb and the camp was declared
open.
The management
of the camp was very efficient and was ably managed by a
team comprising local volunteers with help from CFS
members.
All those who
wanted to avail of the camp facilities were required to
pre register themselves (This process had started in
Siddhpur 15 days prior to the camp, and publicity for
the same was started one month in advance). The patients
were required to mention their complaints/ailments and
volunteers directed these patients to the appropriate
consultants for their specific problems.
Some patients
were required to undergo further investigations such as
blood tests, X-ray, Sonography which were made available
at the maternity home itself or at the local X-ray
clinic, at no cost to the patients. Those patients who
were prescribed medicines only were provided these at no
cost from the local chemist. Patients who required
surgical treatment had their details listed down and
were assured that they would be contacted for further
treatment once the schedule was finalized with the
doctors or availability of specific aid.

The doctors
were very impressed with the preparations and facilities
at the camp and have assured their help in future camps
too. The doctors were taken around Siddhpur and its
surroundings for a heritage tour, which was very well
appreciated by them.
The patients
who need Cataract operations will be operated at a camp
either in Siddhpur or Khambhat depending on the
availability of dates from the doctors.

Masjid
A Darees with
the neeyat of Tul ur umr of Aqa Moula (TUS) was
organized and all the mumineen of Siddhpur were invited
for the same after Maghrib Isha Namaaz at the Zaini
Masjid (Yusuf bawaji ni masjid). Under the able sadarat
of Janab Ishaqbhaisaheb, Aamil Saheb.
The Darees was
recited, followed by Zikre Husain, which was followed by
a brief bayan from Aamil sahib, who congratulated the
members of CFS for their efforts in bringing together
Siddhpuris from all over the world for this unique
event.
Thereafter,
Janab Taher bhaisaheb presented an audio visual
depicting the history of Syedna Yusuf Najmuddin and
Syedi Kazikhan and their legacy which was kept alive by
Syedna Taher Saifuddin and Syedna Mohamed Burhanuddin.
This was
followed by Niyaaz jaman at the Jamatkhana for men and
Najmi hall for women.
The darees was
attended by mumineen residing in Siddhpur and all those
Sidhpuris who had come from various parts of India and
the world for this five day event. Visitors were advised
to pre-register themselves for this event, but those who
could not do so were required to register themselves at
the temporary office set up at the Taheri Club office
premises. All those registering themselves were given
the official invitation cards for the various events.

Seminar on education and business opportunities in
Sidhpur

The Seminar on
education and business opportunities started at 9:30am
after the arrival of Janab Aamil Saheb of Siddhpur. The
Seminar began with Tilawat-e-Quran and a brief
introduction of the day’s agenda by Abuzerbhai Zakir who
was the Master of Ceremonies for the day.
The speakers
for the day were:

All the
speakers were heartily welcomed by the Master of
ceremonies and were presented with bouquets by Janab
Aamil Saheb.
The first
speaker of the day was Mr. Aloke Sharma of SIES
Management Institute, Mumbai. He spoke about the
opportunities that exist in the management field. He
emphasized the need of special education needs of
traders in retail management and also spoke about
education needs in the service industry. His speech was
extremely informative and was well received by the
audience. Khozemabhai Tambawala from Bangalore asked Mr.
Aloke Sharma the relevant business model for Sidhpur and
it’s environs considering the educational and social
capabilities of it’s people. To this Mr. Aloke Sharma
replied that the most apt business model for Siddhpur
would be various service industry spanning software
development, BPO and others, which do not need location
positioning and can be operated with low investment
levels from home. Saifuddinbhai Shahpurwala suggested a
co-operative which would collectively access the efforts
of Siddhpuri women in manufacture of food items such as
papds, Gustava, Wari etc. This was well received by all
present. Mr. Aloke Sharma then thanked the organizers
for this opportunity.
The next
speaker was Prof. I.K. Abedi from Saboo Siddik Technical
School and Junior College, Mumbai. His topic was “The
various opportunities in technical education”. Prof.
Abedi said that all the major eras in our world have
been punctuated by technology, such as the stone age,
iron age, Industrial revolution, cyber age etc.
Technology is an integral part of our lives and we are
attached to this branch of study right from birth till
death. He explained how students of technology are
extremely confident and logical individuals vis-à-vis
students from other branches of study. He also gave a
very good account of the various levels at which
students can learn engineering. The first one being
technical school, where young boys and girls can learn
skills of engineering, such as drawing and workshop
practice. The second one where one works to get a
diploma and go in for supervisory practice. And the
third where one works to obtain a graduate degree in a
chosen branch of engineering.
The last
speaker for educational opportunities was Mr. Mohammed
Arif, from Saboo Siddik Technical School and
polytechnic, Mumbai. He spoke about the need to develop
educational institutes in Rural areas which would give a
fillip to the current liberalization in the country. He
explained the various opportunities that exist in the
field of Civil engineering.
Prof. I.K.
Abedi of Saboo Siddik Polytechnic informed the gathering
that his institute would be willing to help in setting
up technical courses in Siddhpur if invited.
There was a Tea
break after that before the beginning of the next
session on business opportunities.
The first
speaker in this session was Mr. H.D. Shrimali, Jt.
Commissioner of Industries, Gujarat. Since he was not
present at the seminar, his written speech was delivered
by Ismailbhai Blue. His speech was very informative and
gave a detailed account of investment opportunities in
Gujarat and the various schemes and subsidies provided
by the Government in the field of Industry. He also
highlighted the types of industries suitable for the
area around Siddhpur. Mr. Shrimali has very graciously
assured help in setting up industries for anyone who may
be interested.
The second
speaker in this session was Sk. Mustafabhai Dohadwala
from Dohad. Sk. Mustafabhai was introduced by Abuzarbhai
and was felicitated by Janab Aamil Saheb. He narrated
his experiences in setting up Dal mills in his hometown
Dohad, on the firman of Aqa Moula (TUS). Sk. Mustafabhai
gave a brief account of the levels of investments
required to set up a dal mill and particularly mentioned
that the Siddhpur climate was extremely conducive to the
operation of such dal mills on account of it’s dry
weather. He very wholeheartedly extended his support to
anyone interested in setting up such a venture.
The next
speaker in this section was Mr. Mansurbhai Shaikhali
from Mahindra group, Pune. He spoke about the current
business scenario in context with challenges from other
parts of the world. He explained how the Chinese were
making forays in to global business and how we Indians
could learn a thing or two from them and adapt suitably
to take on the challenges of Global Business. His
address was complemented by slides which gave statistics
on the current business health of India and China. Mr.
Shaikhal’s address was very well received.
After the end
of the session on business opportunities, the seminar
was graced by Janab Taikhum Bhaisaheb Mohiyuddin along
with Abiturab Bhaisaheb Shakir. Janab Taikhum Bhaisaheb
was welcomed by Janab Aamil Saheb and members of Concern
for Siddhpur.
Janab Taikhum
Bhaisaheb said that he was extremely pleased with the
concept of Concern for Sidhpur and it’s efforts to
revive the glory and spirit of Sidhpur. He congratulated
it’s members and wished them well in their endeavours.
He then left for a Namaz.
Those present
then dispersed for Namaaz and lunch.
The post lunch
session was devoted entirely to the issues of Siddhpur
and it’s people.
The session
started with the recitation of a poem written by M.
Aliasgarbhai Hamzabhai. Copies of the poem were
distributed to all present.
The Master of
ceremonies then gave the floor to Sk . Saifuddinbhai
Hajee, Moderator for the afternoon session. The session
was graced by Taherbhai sahib.
Sk.
Saifuddinbhai then went on to give his presentation on
Concern for Siddhpur and it’s purpose.
