By the
wasila of Awliyaullah (a.s), Allah bestows upon a mumin the wealth of
a child. This child is the rehmat and a bounty and with it an Amanat
from Allah. He should be thankful for these unlimited gifts bestowed
upon him; with the time intention that the child grows up doing the Ta
– at (obedience) of Awliyaullah (a.s). That every tradition and
custom should be conducted by the means of Dawat. So that the doors of
Sa – adat open for the child, here and thereafter and becomes the
apple of the eye of his parents.
Syedna Qazi Noman (r.a) says: - When a child is born, he is to
be first physically conditioned,
-
The
umbilical cord is to cut,
-
Then the
joints / limbs are to be straightened,
-
The skin
is to be massaged with oil,
-
The
child is properly wrapped in a cloth to prevent any dislocation of
any joint and weakness of them.
Rasulullah
(s.a) says:-

When the
child is born, Azan is recited in the right ear and Iqamat in the
left. This shelters the child from the Devil (Sahitaan).
Maulana Ali (a.s) says: - Rasulullah (s.a) ordered me to
perform these customs to Hasan and Hussain and along with the Azan and
Iqamat to recite in both ears as follows: -
-
Surat al
Fateh (Al hamdo)
-
Ayat ul
Kursee
-
The last
Ayaats of Surat ul Hashr (from: - Hoval lahul laze to Aziz ul
hakim).
-
Surat ul
Ikhlas (Qul hoval laho ahad)
-
Surat un
Naas and Surat ul Falaq
Note: -
The midwife (who receives the baby) of the BOY becomes like his mehram
(Blood relative). He cannot marry the midwife or her daughter or her
daughter's daughter or her son's daughter (till all generations). Thus
a record of the midwife should be maintained.
