Huzurala TUS
arrived for
Jumoa Namaz,
Ziyafat & Wada Majlis
24th JUMADAL
ULA
1428
Huzurala (TUS) graced Mumineen of the UK and Europe with Jumoa
namaaz and ziyafat on the final Friday of his current - 71st -
visit to London on the 23rd of Jumadil Uula 1428H; 8th June
2007.
It was the third public event of this stay which had come to 23
days as mentioned by Molana (TUS) in his wada bayaan mubarak.
Mumineen had come from all over the UK and parts of Europe and
North America on a day when Huzurala (TUS) accepted the first
ever ziyafat by London's TNC (Tayseer ul Nikah) Committee
alongwith 2 other ziyafats.
The backdrop to the ziyafat displayed the Quranic aayat in which
it is said, "And of His signs is that He has created from you
wives so that you may seek comfort near them......"
Quoting the verse Huzurala (tus) spoke at length about the
importance of early marriage. He made specific references to
some of the reasons often given for delaying marriage such as
establishing a career or further education. In this context he
spoke of how one young man had once said to Syedna Taher
Saifuddin (RA) that he would marry when 'he was standing on his
own feet' to which Syedna replied by asking, "What are you
standing on now?"
Huzurala (TUS) said that education could be continued after
nikah and also that in choosing a spouse it was necessary
primarily to look for an essentially 'deeni' - religious -
personality. Being too choosy, wanting everything to be right,
leads to delay and eventually to a point where the number of
options rapidly runs out.
Molana (TUS) then spoke about how happy married life can be
achieved. The aayat speaks of how wives are a comfort for their
husbands and one of the main ways in which this comfort is
achieved is by the wife being utterly aware of her husbands
needs. "If the man says it is night it is night and day so it is
day."
This attitude is fundamental in creating an atmosphere of
harmony within the marriage which is what the union is designed
to achieve for both people.
Following on from Stephen Pound's visit in the previous week
there were further VIP visitors from outside the community who
came to offer their felicitations to Molana (TUS) and celebrate
his 96th Milaad Mubarak. One of them in his speech spoke of how
Huzurala (TUS) embodied everything that is good about Islam and
also the leadership that Islam required especially in these
times of great problems for Islam and Muslims around the world.
Describing Molana
(TUS) as being '96 years young' he recalled his own childhood in
Lamu, Kenya where he said Molana
(TUS) visited on a yearly basis. He said that when Molana
(TUS) was there there were 2 things he remembered particularly,
"The sweet smell of the air and the sweet smell of jalebis"
before remarking that while he couldn't scent any jalebis this
time he certainly still scented the sweetness in the air.
Huzurala (TUS) gave his 'wada' address to Mumineen mentioning
particularly that the hope of Mumineen for qadambosi had been
left unfulfilled but that he came to London time after time and
would continue coming and that a "Mumin's niyyat (intent) is
more far reaching than his action."
Huzurala (tus) left the masjid in the late afternoon for ziyafat
in his masjid apartment before leaving the masjid complex for
the last time on this visit in the early evening. Mumineen
stretched far out into the road for a last glimpse of the
dazzling radiance and a final scent of the sweet sweet air that
Huzurala (TUS) brings wherever he goes and always leaves behind
for us to remember for all our lives.
May Allah t'aala preserve Moula (TUS) in everlasting good health
until qiyamat.
